The Junker Queen’s voice was first heard on the Junkertown map, and the charisma she exuded attracted the community to have her as a playable hero in Overwatch;
The existence of the Junker Queen caught the attention of Jinkx Monsoon, a famous American drag singer-songwriter, who posted a message on Twitter about her interest in lending her voice to the character in April 2018, although in the end, a voice actress with a tone more similar to the Junkertown reveal trailer was chosen;
